卡格博峰Kage Bo Feng

卡格博峰，海拔6740米，是云南最高峰。卡格博，藏语“白色雪山”之意，又称“雪山之神”。从德钦县城东10公里处的飞来寺，便可见澜沧江对岸数百里冰峰接踵绵亘，势如刀劈斧削，气势非凡。这就是声名遐迩的以卡格博峰为中心的梅里雪山，海拔6OOO米以上的雪峰就有13座，称为“太子十三峰”。挺立于13峰之上的卡格博峰，是一座金宇塔形的雪山，雄伟瑰丽，俯视群小。　　　　卡格博峰是藏传佛教的朝觐圣地。传说为宁玛派分支伽居巴的保护神，位居藏区八大神山之首。1989年10月，藏传佛教十世班禅大师确吉坚赞曾在峰前举行隆重法事。现有石碑和佛塔留下胜迹，供游人观瞻。卡格博下，有连绵的冰川和冰斗，其中泥沙明恰和斯恰两道冰川如两条白色的长龙，从海拔5500米往下延伸至2700米的森林中，离江面近800余米，是世界上稀有的低纬度、高海拔季风海洋性现代冰川，壮观无比。卡瓦格博峰是云南省六个国家级重点风景区内“三江并流”景观之一。　　　　卡格博原是九头十八臂的煞神，后被莲花生教化，受居士戒，改邪归正，从此皈依佛门，做了千佛之子格萨尔摩下一员骠悍的神将，从此统领边地，福荫雪域。卡格博神像常被供奉在神坛之上。他身骑白马，手执长剑，雄姿英发。在西藏地区传说，若有幸登上布达拉宫便可在东南方向的五彩云层中看到卡格博的身影。每年秋末冬初，西藏、四川、青海、甘肃的一批批香客，千里迢迢赶来朝拜这座心灵中的雪山之神。他们围绕着神山礼拜，少则7天，多则半月，当地称为转经。藏民们对卡格博如此崇拜，都以能在一生中到卡格博朝拜转经为最大荣幸。若逢藏历羊年，转经更是增至百十倍，匍伏登山的场面，令人叹为观止。　　　　卡格博峰由于山体陡峭，终年冰雪覆盖，时有雪崩。浓雾、大雨、狂风，迄今仍是无人登顶的“处女峰”。最近一些年来，已经有很多支中外登山探险队试图登上卡格博峰，但至今尚没有成功的纪录。1991年1月，17名中日登山健儿在峰下不幸遇难。现在飞来寺立有纪念碑供游人凭吊英魂。
